It has been announced that the Alzheimer’s Society have been shortlisted for the Local Charity of the Year. They are working towards partnerships with Sainsbury’s stores in Bamber Bridge, Blackpool, Burnley, Colne, Clitheroe, and Darwen.
Winning this partnership could be a huge deal for the Alzheimer’s Society. These partnerships are worth thousands of pounds each, and will really boost donations. As we have chosen to partner with the Alzheimer’s Society we wanted to share this news with everyone. We’d also like to encourage you all to help them win their partnerships.
After announcing last year that we had chosen to partner with the charity, we have been raising money in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society by hosting fundraising events throughout the year. We are even planning on tackling the 3 Peak Challenge in July, climbing the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours.
But, the charity needs your help in order to secure this partnership! If you support their cause and vote for the Alzheimer’s Society to win, we would really appreciate it. It is easy to vote, which can be done either online or in store.
To cast your vote online simply click here. You can vote for as many stores as you like, all you need to do is enter the name of the town in which the store is located . Make sure to select the Alzheimer’s Society!
If you’d rather vote in-store, you can! Customers can vote by using the small green token given to them when they have made a purchase. You will see a voting box, generally around the customer service desk or the store entrance. Voting has begun and will close on the 23rd of June!
This potential year-long support from just one of these stores would mean that they can continue to provide vital support for those suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer’s in the local area.
Please share this information with those in your local area, friends, family, community groups, volunteers etc.
If you’d like to sponsor us for the 3 Peaks Challenge, we have set up a Just Giving page. Please follow this link, where you can donate, bit.ly/2EPYBVN.
