Recommendations:

  • Your website is not secure which is off putting to potential customers and bad for organic search ranking on Google. Renew your SSL certificate to fix this.
  • The website does not tell me what it’s about as soon as I land on it. You could benefit from adding a heading to introduce the website.
  • Following on from the last point, there is no title on the homepage. This is something you will be penalised for by search engines like Google. And, to reiterate the point above, the website visitor needs to know exactly what you do as soon as they land on the website. Add a title that tells the customer what you do.
  • Your copyright at the bottom of your website is out of date – this will affect credibility
  • You have a lot of menu items. More than 7 items in the menu bar can be overwhelming for visitors. Consider streamlining these into categories with drop-down menus
  • You also have quite a lot of options for your services. These need to be condensed to make it as easy as possible for the website visitor to find what they are looking for. At the moment, it’s easy to get lost.
  • The home button in the menu opens in a new tab which negatively affects user experience. Inbound links should stay on the same tab, outbound tabs should open into a new tab.
  • The home button in the menu opens in a new tab which negatively affects user experience. Inbound links should stay on the same tab, outbound tabs should open into a new tab.
  • Pages are full of text and lack “design” which negatively affects credibility. Consider redesigning these pages to make your website look more professional.
  • You don’t include any CTAs (call to actions) at the bottom of the pages. The wording is there (Get in touch for details) but they don’t link to your contact page. Give your website visitors a clear direction by adding these links to your calls-to-actions.
  • Consider changing the “Request to buy book” to a link to buy the book. You can then implement tracking for online sales. Alternatively, you could add a form that would allow you to collect customer data which is useful for marketing.
  • Although a page of testimonials is good, they are only on the homepage. Add testimonials to each page to add further credibility and clout.
